Finishing Up the Spring Semester

Flowers are blooming, graduation gowns are arriving, and final exams are quickly approaching: the end of an outstanding spring semester is upon us. The past several months have flown by, and they were both busy and productive. The aerodynamics team built two half-scale nose cones and is planning a full-scale nose cone. The propulsion team conducted many static tests and completed multiple components for their half-scale motor. The simulations team verified their simulations with several commercial programs. The electronics team prepared the Big Red Bee flight computer for launch. And finally, the recovery team designed the parachute deployment system. This summer, we expect to literally reach even greater heights with the launch of our half-scale rocket.
